A starting job in the SEC without all the hard work required at Alabama. Sometimes championships aren't what drives a player/commit...I can't fathom this line of thought but its out there as I've heard it first hand from a parent of an elite prospect. They want the path of least resistance that gets them to the next level. I'm one that lives to win at everything I do and at all costs...it's the only way, but that drive to win doesn't live in everyone out there.

I'm not sure if you're trying to imply this message here (does sound like it), but I laugh at the people that say,"not everyone is made out to be an Alabama player, he may have the work ethic, he just wants an easy ride with less competition." Georgia was potentially 5 seconds away from a national championship. I don't know L Tunsil, but it's a croc to imply that about him without seeing it yet. Maybe he just likes it there better. Wouldn't be the first.
And Athens is a great place. So is Tuscaloosa.

5 seconds mean nothing but moral victories. Just like you say five seconds, others say Eddie Lacey scored and they did't give him the touch down. Someone else can say that was a pass interference on Cooper which would negate the block fg. So all of that means nothing at the end of day. If we had of ran the ball against T am on the last drive maybe we would have won but we still lost.

People keep posting that Georgia was only 5 seconds away from playing for a national championship. The last time I checked both teams had exactly the same amount of time. I don't think Bama was going to lay down if they had another 15 seconds or 15 minutes. Does anyone think we would have played the prevent defense if there were three minutes left when Georgia got the ball. Heck lets add another quarter and Bama would have rushed for 500 yards and three more touchdowns instead of 350 yards and 32 points. Lacy had them trying to find a place to hide when he came through the line already. Georgia's defense was helpless if we had been trying to score again. Bama played very conservative on their last possession and Georgia's last possession because of the amount of time left in the game. Maybe the SEC should let Georgia choose to have additional time when they need it.

First, preferences are all relative. I live in NYC and love it, some would hate it and blah blah blah. Nick Saban prefers Tuscaloosa to Miami, a lot would agree a lot would not. It doesn't matter! The only places that truly sucks are Starkville and Auburn.
Anyway, I agree with Jlee05 that it's kind of ridiculous to make broad assumptions about his work ethic because he wants to go to UGA.
I do think it's fair to say that Alabama is the best place for the NFL right now. Sure you can make the "he can go the NFL anywhere" argument but if you look at the development at UA, we are simply separating ourselves from the competition in terms of NFL development. That's just the truth. We have had 20 NFL draft picks in the last three years. This is more than UGA, UF, FSU, LSU, USC, Texas, Ohio State...it's more than any other team in CFB. Name a team, we have more picks. We have a ridiculous 10 1st round draft picks in the last three years. I don't think another school can even get to five. It's true we recruit the best talent but it's not twice as good as UGA and others. Pick up a mock draft for this year and you will see that these type of numbers are not going away. We have two first rounds locks and four more players that will contend for first round. Two more beyond those six that are locks to be drafted (now 8 total) and three more that are potential late round / FAs. You can go to the NFL anywhere, but UA is best of breed right now.
