Whats the deal with Tunsil? Is he not interested

  • Hey manbearpig7, I've got your back.
    -
Since 2009 Alabama has had thirty-seven (37) starters.
    .
Twenty-four (24) have been drafted into the NFL.
    .
Eleven (11) of those have been in the first round.
    .
Three (3) of those who were not drafted did sign as free agents.
    .
One (1) chose to not declare for the draft.
    .
Leaving nine (9) not signing after declaring.
    .
The moral to the story is:
if you start at Alabama you are more likely to be drafted in the first round than to not play in the NFL

  • Why are you guys conceding Tunsil? The staff is not and this one is far from over. Alabama is still right in the thick of this.

  • The chic-fil-a is closer to campus in Athens... no-brainer

I'm not sure if you're trying to imply this message here (does sound like it), but I laugh at the people that say,"not everyone is made out to be an Alabama player, he may not have the work ethic, he just wants an easy ride with less competition." Georgia was potentially 5 seconds away from a national championship. I don't know L Tunsil, but it's a croc to imply that about him without seeing it yet. Maybe he just likes it there better. Wouldn't be the first.

And Athens is a great place. So is Tuscaloosa.

It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning.

  • We dont get EVERY single player. Let him go to UGA and have an above average college career and then go to the NFL... hopefully he wont get kicked off the team or suspended for the first half of a season... (g)

I think he is having a tough decision for any senior in HS - go to a place you feel a little more comfortable with or go to a place that is going to constantly challenge you and push you to be your best. Sure, that sounds like an easy choice, but its really not. Its tough to ALWAYS be your best - especially for kids

I agree ce. However, given the fact that Saban has a reputation of " telling 'em like it is " and has probably (I'm guessing here), but probably told Tunsil it's a hard road for a true freshman OL and Tunsil could possibly redshirt, depending... vs UGA telling him he'll start - then it's gonna take an extremely mature kid along with parental wisdom and guidance to perhaps take the harder, albeit more promising, road...
