A buddy of mine suggested the same thing earlier today. I think that would be cool. This could happen in the midst of us trying to get ready for the CG if Texas A&M hire Smart.
I knew I didn't like Texas A&M coming into the SEC. Right off the bat they come in and hire our DC! (g)
Looks like we have a new rivalry game to look forward to each year!

It was the first thing I thought of and I can't think of a better guy for the job (besides Smart, obviously, or Saban himself).

I think it'd be great, either way he's gonna be promoted. I think he would go be Kirby's DC if nothing else. Good luck CKS, you've earned it!

I'd say Sunseri absolutely. He's probably already got the system down, just a matter of stepping in... He'll be a top candidate for a HC coach after a few years at DC, just like Kirby...

Coach Sal would take over as DC & I would expect Chris Rumph to get an additional title such as Asst. Head Coach or something to that degree.
As for CKS replacement, I would look for a veteran coach with LB coaching experience. I would expect someone from the NFL but not Travis Jones.

I was actually thinking we go after Todd Grantham at UGA. Georgia recruiting experience, 3-4 defense master extraordinaire. Coached with Saban at Michigan State. NFL experience. Besides the money issue, sounds like a good fit. Thoughts?

I don't think so...Todd Grantham is so easy to negative recruit against.

I don't think coach sal will leave while his son is playing there.
