Where does Dee Hart fit into this equation?

Dee Hart was mvp of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl game he played in his senior year. He will fit in very nicely.

I think the OP has misjudged Dee Hart's size compared to past Bama greats. Say, for instance... Mark Ingram? An every down back in your opinion, no? And yet, at 5'9 Ingram is the same height as Dee Hart. Or maybe Trent Richardson? Who is 5'10... only one inch taller.
So if you think that his height is a reason he has to be a scat back then you are wrong. From all accounts, the guy has put on weight in his first year on campus, so give him another offseason in the S&C program and he'll be just fine as an every down back.

I believe Dee Hart will be awesome in our offense next year... Not to mention our offensive line is gonna open giant holes for any one of our backs to run through... I dont believe he'll surpass Lacy, but he will have a very different running style that will compliment him... Im just excited to see what the four headed monster know as the UA backfield is gonna do to defensive this year... Lacy, Fowler, Hart, and Yeldon... I believe Drake will redshirt, but will be another great addition when the time comes...

What do you mean where does he fit? He was slated to be apart of the roation this year and I don't see that changing as long as he is doing what he needs to do to be apart of this team. Fit - Easily.

Exactly. Dee will only get bigger in the weight room. He has DISGUSTING speed and moves. He is short, so will easily DISSAPEAR coming out of the backfield and I get GIDDY yes i said that word; thinking about screen passes with HART. THe guy is going to be another player like the kid from FLorida and Meyer's 2nd and 3rd year except more power. Hart is going to be fun mixed with the two larger backs we got this year.
