BOL Round Table

A reporter was asking "Is there another Nick Gentry on this team" earlier in camp. Here are some of the responses:

Barrett Jones: You know, I think there's only one Nick Gentry.

Nick Saban: Nick Gentry really had an impact here as an inside rusher his entire career. And his role on the team was that. And he probable played just as many plays as Josh Chapman played last year. Josh Chapman played on run downs, everyone knew who he was, he got drafted, all that. But Nick Gentry played on all third downs and all the loose plays of the game and did a fantastic job bc he had great quickness, was very smart, could use his hands well and in his role, made just as much of a contribution as a lot of other guys, but never really got recognized til last year. And hopefully we’ll have some other guys that can fit into that role, that are good inside rushers, that are hard guys to block, that have his quickness. We have a few, but we’ll see how they do.
