Wow Upshaw just weighed in and measured

at 6ft 1and half.. 273 pounds.. I thought he was a lil taller. Although it wouldnt matter to me if he was 6ft 8 or 5ft 7 , I have seen him play and that is good enough for me.

Upshaw has always been listed at 6'2... so the half inch is not that big of a deal. Same height as Dwight Freeney and taller than Elvis Dumervil... I see the big difference in a guy like Marquis Maze who was listed at 5'10 and measures in at 5'7 3/4... even though I believe Maze will contribute in the NFL in some way

Upshaw is not a tall guy. I started noticing this when he would stand beside Donta' and he was like 2-3 inches shorter. Don't think it affected his play any. He was a sack machine this year.

I think for an edge rusher 6 ft 1 is perfect to get leverage and make it harder for taller tackles to get there hands inside you. I think that is right where NFL scouts would want him.

is he projecting at a DE or a LB in the nfl? If a LB, it seems like he could lose some weight to gain some speed which could be very useful in the nfl which is a lot faster than college. Just my thoughts.
