Yeldon as the day 1 starter with the depth on campus? Sometimes I wonder how long some of you have been watching Bama football (particularly under Saban), or if you just don't pay much attention.

Oh really? You mean the true freshman might have a bigger role if our #1 can't go? And that our #2 might start if our #1 is injured.

Agree with BreakingTheCap... It's too early to give an account on EL's recovery process.

If memory serves, Eddie had turf toe surgery in late Feb or early March, with active range-of-motion exercises not typically beginning until a couple of months after surgery. He may need a special boot or prosthetic to prevent the toe from moving upward as he walks.

This would put early May before he could've done any range-of-motion exercises on the toe. It's only mid-May and we're too young in the process to determine what the fate of his 2012 season will be. Full athletic activity may be limited for 3-4 months, which puts his time frame at the end of June before he could shed the black jersey (if Coach lets him shed it at all in Camp).

I'd expect a limited role for Eddie in Fall Camp, with no need to rush things on this guy with a bright future & a particularly delicate injury. He may have a limited role in the first few games, but I doubt his role as the top dog is officially supplanted at this point by Jalston, TJ, or anyone else.
