How in the world can the LSU kid's agent let him wind up with that score?? It's the equivalent of letting him go out and run a terrible time in the 40. You hear people say "it doesnt affect their stock." If that's the case, why not tell your guy NOT to take it....if you are afraid of how that will play, spend a LITTLE time practicing beforehand.....they spend countless hours getting ready for every other drill, why not this??

it is not the equivalent of running a terrible forty. Seriously, if it were you would have to say Morris C. ran a 4.7 or higher which could absolutely affect his draft stock. this might cause pause but he isnt falling in the draft as long as he interviewed well with teams. Teams know if he knows football and can learn the playbook through the interview process. They don't need the wonderlic for a CB.
the answer is because it just isnt that important.

If I were entering the combine, I'd start a trend by refusing to take the Wonderlick. If teams asked me why in interviews, I'd explain to them that Matt Leinart made a 35 and Dan Marino made a 15, and ask if they had any further questions on the matter.

Supposedly he has a learning disability that affects his reading but he can learn orally and does ok on his classes and tests that way. Could be all BS but it's not unheard of for people who effectively can't read to get through college using oral tests, books on tape, and tutors. Again it's possible they cheated him all the way through but we don't know they did.
Not trying to make excuses for him because I have no idea. Just saying.
