  • At this point we are getting to where relative no names when it comes to draft analysis are saying outlandish things in order to be different than McShay and Kiper.

NFL execs do stupid stuff but drafting Tannehill 3rd, oh and having to trade up to do so, is just about the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.

  • i dunno bout "horrible". all our projected first-rounders are taken in the first round in their mock. i wouldn't get too worked up if a guy is a few places below where you think they should go. it's kind of a crapshoot.

"This draft shows Auburn is recruiting and training football players on par with Bama. Auburn has one more player taken in the second round than Bama but the biased media will ignore this important fact" lol

Barron at cb? Don't see it. I haven't heard of barron falling past 16. If this guy thinks he can not only play safety but also corner then how does he fall to detroit.

  • I always hate it when mocks install trades they predict, because that is the biggest uncertainty of the entire draft. That said, I can't see how the Chiefs are moving from the middle of the pack, the to third overall pick here. I get that Atlanta made a huge move last year, but I just don't see the Chiefs being a team that is going to give up two or three first rounders to make that gigantic of a leap. I could see Miami possibly trading up to get Tannehill up there (also a much smaller jump), but not KC. The Jets trade borders on the absurd, as well.

That mock sucks, and for a whole lot of reasons beyond weird places for the Bama players to end up.

  • Other than the trade up to get Tannehill at #3, I don't think that mock is that bad. I wouldn't be pissed that he has 5 of our guys going 1st round. It's probably still more likely that we don't get 5 guys drafted in the 1st. Not saying we won't have 5, but wouldn't be surprised if we don't

  • I don't really know how anyone can call a draft horrible unless they know what each NFL teams, is trained in projecting a player from college to the NFL, talked with other NFL teams to get clues on which way they are leaning and most importantly have scouted the rest of the players in the draft.

This is much like the recruiting rankings. We know the most about the UA players obviously. Unless you have seen the other guys and gone to these workouts, how can you or anyone else say for certainty that this mock draft is stupid?

  • I gave up reading the mock after he put Ryan Kalil.

There is prolly a reason i have never even heard of this, and a reason why Kiper, Mcshay, Mayock, and Brandt are the best in the bussiness. There are a few reason i wouldnt put much much stock into this guy, for one he isnt picking the teams biggest needs. He has the cowboys taking on og, when clearly there biggest need it to sure up the back end of their secondary, and thats just one example, but he does that many times. Second, i dont know if he had Dre and Menzie mixed up but you dont take an elite CB and turn him into a S, and that is the first time i have ever even seen that mentioned, just like you dont take the best S prospect in the 2012 draft and try to turn him into a CB. Clearly this guy doesnt have a clue what the *&^3 he is talking about.

Probably because he isnt even picking the teams biggest needs, or that would be my first guess.... If you read the mock draft, you can clearly see he hasnt done any of the things you have mentioned..... Second, He thinks the top S prospect in the draft should be a CB, and the second best CB might be a S, that was just a little hint.... i dont know if he had Dre and Menzie mixed up, but if he does that just adds to this... Did the play at OG blow huge 4th quater leads for the cowboys, or was it play in the secondary? Do you think the browns need an elite weapon on offense or defense? If you think he has been to every pro day, been talking to NFL teams, is trained in projecting players (sorry, i missed that class, where did he take it at?) and has scouted these players, then your posting license needs to be revoked. There is a reason this guy is a no-name in the draft biz....
