  • I don't get where all the negativity regarding DM is coming from. I think some of you would be surprised if you knew how well he graded out last year (as a freshman). He is one of the best dbs we have. He was injured in the spring and played through it. If he is healthy this season, a lot of questions regarding him will be answered.

    He played well for a Freshman but if there ever was a blown coverage last year I'd say around half the time he was involved. Not bashing him, just an observation. But, for him to be at that level early says a lot

  • What are y'all talking about? TRUE freshman playing corner in the SEC and was better than most senior corners at stopping a run play before the rb got the edge. Y'all need to go back and watch some game film. That kid blew up some run plays last year and he did it with stick arms. He will be knocking dudes out before he leaves Bama. And he was ok in pass coverage as well until he blew a coverage. I can live with freshman mistakes as long as the talent is there, and it's there. And he loves to hit, did I mention that.

    I guess people will always remember him last season for sitting on that route vs LSU on that last drive on 3rd and forever. Ya it costs us a game. What's the old saying...count the number of freshman you have starting and count each as a loss. What did we have? Two? CJ and DM.

  • Milliner blew a few coverages but you know what? He did it by being aggressive and giving 110% effort. I'll take that all day. That was his first run through things. When his knowledge of the system is equal to his effort that will be a beautiful think. Don't hold him accountable for being thrown in as his talent made up for what others knew apparently.

  • He had his rough moments but I think Milliner as a freshman was ahead of where Dre was as a freshman.

    Corners are picked on too much by fans. Very visible.

    Milliner was outstanding, I think, for a freshman.

  • IMHO I thought Dee looked better than Dre at times granted he blew several coverages but that's expected from a TF. Dee is going to be a star by the end of his college career.

  • I thought he looked good last year given the circumstances. I don't know if the staff was discouraged with him in the spring, but I'm sure he'll improve throughout the year and be an excellent player for us. The guy's just overflowing with talent. Yeah, he made a key mistake that was a big factor in us losing the LSU game last year. But I have no doubt that he'll make a key play at some point down the road that will be a big factor in us winning a big game too. I just hope he's ready to go this year, because we'll need him, especially if Menzie's health is in question.
