    yes that was Kris Frost. I guess the report was that he never called the coaching staff to tell them so they said no to him. Eventually they made room but was funny nontheless.

    I also read somewhere that Chiz-ick said they do not give out multi year schollies. So who is running the ship over there?

    It's all talking points to distinguish themselves from Alabama. They are good at that. Where do you think they get this "family" stuff? They say hey, "Alabama is like a machine and you're a number there", but here "we're family". It's all talking points. The fact that they are doing stuff like this in order to try and promote themselves is a good thing because of what it means in terms of reality.

    They don't need to try and distinguish themselves from Alabama. Everyone in America knows that Auburn is a much lower level university in terms of academics, athletics.

    Lost in this greyshirting discussion is the fact that all the kid and the school do prior to signing day is "agree to agree"; there is no consideration, and it is not a contract. Think about all the kids that "flip" at the last minute - does the school holding their oral commitment have any recourse - of course not. It's a two way street; until the SEC (the originator of the 25 rule) and the NCAA work out rules that are fair to both the schools and the kids, blame the system, don't blame Nick for working it, just like the kids do every day.

    why is it that all the barn writers are so homerish and completely idiotic with articles/ predictions? Most bama guys outside of the bleacher report (which is supposed to be opinion) are fairly well versed, maybe some times biased. WHat kind of journalism school does the barn have?

  • I'm sure there was an article a couple of years ago that was critical of Chizik for bringing in Cam and starting him ahead of Trotter who had been working hard and had been loyal to that program for two years. Oh wait...

    I'm sick of Saban being singled out in this case. Every coach has to make tough decisions about who gets offers, who gets greyshirts, and who gets left out. If everyone who wanted to play for Alabama got offers we would be dressing out 100,000+ every Saturday and none of us would have any student loans to pay off. Such is life that we don't always get what we want the way we want it.

    Josh Moon went to a junior college and finished up at a smaller college as I recall. He is not an Auburn product - I honestly don't think he has the intellect to deal with what would be required in a legit journalism school, even if by some miracle he was accepted into one. They teach a concept known as journalistic integrity - you know, the professionalism we see daily from the 247 staff. Josh has no concept what that is. He also has a terrible radio voice - sounds like his boxers are three sizes too small.
