need puppy prayers

I had the exact thing happen to an 11 year old black lab almost 2 years ago to the day. The vet kept saying pancreatitis and treating it as such. After about a week she was not getting any better and died right after I visited her. It may seem silly, but I know that she hung on until I got there. Still brings tears (a lot of them) to my eyes. The vet could not figure it out and did an autopsy and found a liver tumor. Very tough situation; I feel for you and your family. Get another lab; they are great friends.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved pet. I have a 7-year-old chocolate lab. I can't imagine what it will be like when we have to say goodbye to her.

Very sorry to hear about your loss. We got a silver lab two years ago from a breeder in Mississippi. She's beautiful but still a complete terror to anything, such as multiple Christmas presents left by the UPS driver that ended up digested. Hope to see that two year ok'd transition soon. Would be happy to forward the breeder's contact information if you need it. Take care.

Thanks so much guys. Amazing how a football board can lend so much support. My kids are doing fine. Easiest way for me to cope was to spend time on Internet finding a new pup of her kind. Somehow, it's making it easier, but not looking to replace her, just make new memories for my family. My husband buried her next to her brother on our creek.

Sorry for your loss, prayers are to you and your family. Dogs and pets for that matter are just like family members IMO. I have a Retriever/Lab that is 3 1/2. Great dog and for sure dogs are mans best friend. Most loyal dog I have ever had. Sorry again.

So sorry man. My dogs are my family. I'd kill/die for them. Try to find the poem "The Rainbow Bridge" for the kids, but be ready for the water works. Also, when your ready, consider a shelter dog or rescue. I have 3 and they are great. Prayers sent.

Update guys 2012 needs to perk up for me. Day after my sweet girl died, I picked a new one just like her who is being sent from Nevada. Her name is Jessie. Kids are super excited. I do have best of both worlds. I have two rescued dogs one of which had heart worms we had to cure when she came to us. I love them too but needed a new silver lab something awful. Now for more bad news, The day after Fortune died And the same day I found Jessie, I was admitted to hospital and had my appendix out today! So 2012 needs to get better! Thanks for all the prayers and support.

I'm so bummed I have the cutest pic of Jessie to post. They have blue eyes as pups. Problem is my iPhone is all I have access to in this hospital bed and I can't seem to figure out any way to post it.

My hope is that 2012 does get better for you. I believe GOD throws the hardest test at the strongest people.
Dog Lover myself.
For what it's worth, I have a 4 year old male yellow lab (AKC) and 1 year old chocolate female lab ( NO PAPERS).
Female had first litter on 12-17-11, nine healthy pups. 7 yellow, 1 black and 1 chocolate.
FREE TO GOOD HOMES, (except for black my son wants to keep)if anyone interested.
