*** McCarron best talent at QB Alabama has had in ...

*** Fowler was a big surprise. His pad level was better than I remember. He is going to have a big year.

*** Yeldon is very special. Understatement.

*** Milliner made a lot of money tonight.

*** Mosely was Mosely. Time for America to realize how special he is.

*** Jesse Williams had a not so good night.

Fowler has really quick feet for a big man & an unbelievable short burst @ what...245 lbs.?

  • If Jalston Fowler can show that he can catch a few passes out of the Hback/Full back position then watch out, he will be making some big time money in the League. He reminds me a lot of Mike Alstott. The way he could line up as a full back and really lock onto a defender then switch seamlessly to RB and tote the rock for 4-5 yards was a thing a beauty.

I think a lot of the credit should go to the badasses on the O-line, including Williams. They were a little shaky on that first possession, but from then on absolutely owned the Michigan front 7. Not to take anything away from those two, but the O-line allowed JF and TY to look like NFL players last night. Really impressed with how well BJ played at C, and Herbie pointed him out a couple times on his ability to get to the second level. Also don't recall a bad snap. Great game for those guys!

I do t think they thought he'd be lined up on the boundary side.

Can you elaborate on this a little?

  • Am I the only one who never saw Dee play like that. Last year he was picked on a lot from what I remember because he was not on par w Dre or dequan. If I was a Db recruit and I was shown the progression that Dee has made over a year. There is no way I would sign any where else. If he plays like that the rest of the year he will win the Thorpe. The kid played better than mo or pp ever thought of last night. We have a true lock down boundary corner now.

He did. That's why his playing time was limited. And has previously been mentioned, our d-line (a) collapsed the pocket without letting DR run, and (b) gave them absolutely nothing running between the tackles.

Also, as has previously been mentioned, a good NT gets double teamed a lot. For tis reason, sometimes a NT can have a very good game even if you never hear his name called, because he's occupying two blockers, giving his teammates the opportunity to make plays.

I was just pointing that out bc people were saying he had a bad game. He wasn't his best. He was injured. I think he's a star! Roll Tide!

  • Rarely agree with the ABC commentators but the plan was to create a wall not press forward - Jessie was fine as he knew his job and did it. RTR
