Hey guys. Sorry to bring this to the board and I'm sure it may end up getting moved but I wanted to ask. I'm writing a paper for grad school on Auburn and their "family." To make a long story short it's about a cult following and brainwashing, etc. I have just started googling Auburn family, Auburn religion family, etc. but I figured some of you would we able to point me in the direction of some really good threads on the topic.
What I am looking for the most is the posts from AU fans that say stuff along the lines of, "we're chosen to be AU fan's and be a part of the family," and so on. The paper is about college football being a religion and using Emile Durkheim's Elementary Forms of Religious Life for those wanting more info on the subject. Just using AU and their "sacred" Toomer's Corner, family, etc. as my best example.
Thanks for the help.

Just curious, but what are you studying? Interesting paper topic...

I usually go off the beaten path for my essays. We are supposed to give a critique of Durkheim's work but instead of giving the usual...I agree with this...disagree with that...I try to prove or disprove a theorist based on whether or not what they say is relevant in today's world.
