If you dreamed you were a sleep and you woke up, would you be awake?
Not sure how he can fine this. If the team wants to sit players, not sure why they can't be allowed. They going to regulate how many minutes each player has to play in a game? I would appeal..Stern would lose in a court room.
Can't wait for 2014
On Alabama: CeCe Jefferson - "It was a bunch of beautiful women..." Reggie Ragland - "oh the females of course..."
Nothing in the rules about having to play a player. He definitely would lose on appeal
I'm not sure how you can fine a team for resting their players. Plus even without the players that were sent home they only lost by 5.
The Spurs did this 3 times last year so WTH? Tool.
This is bad for basketball. If you want to sit players you should be able to sit them.

If stern gets away with this, it will be the tip of the iceberg. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
What if it were you and your family, your sons, who were big fans and saved and waited all year long for THAT game?
1960 Les Paul
So coaches are no longer necessary? Stern is a completely unprofessional moron. Words can't express my distaste for him
No one fines the NFL teams in Week 16 or 17 for resting their starters for the playoffs. 82 games a year plus playoffs takes a lot of of the older guys in the league, and the Spurs are definitely a veteran team. I think Stern is probably the worst commish of the leagues IMO...at least I respect him the least(No I'm not counting NHL..because I don't really care about them).
I agree it would suck bigtime, but the real problem is the league's scheduling. 4 games in 5 nights by three old starters that's been injury plagued the last few years is the problem.
NBA should correct this!
You still got to watch the game.....would be no different than if all 3 had the flu
You aren't guaranteed players..just to watch the game.

Let me tell you who the goofy SOB needs to fine.... whoever scheduled games because having 6 road games in 10 days is unacceptable, especially with the last one being at Miami. The Spurs have also already had another road trip where they played 4 games in 6 days!!! There's no guarantee that any player will be available for any game....and it also seems like the fans got their moneys worth...Miami was losing with just over a minute left in the game!!!
what a joke, no way they'll pay that
"Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places you have to look at it right."
You get over it. You would have fun anyway.
Appeal in 3.2.1....
There's an NBA policy that requires teams to put the league and the media on notice if they plan to intentionally sit players.
Some person(s) close to Stern lost money on the game.
That is a good point but Pop should be able to do whatever he wants with his players. It's ridiculous that they were fined. Can't wait 'til Stern is gone!
