As I'm sure you're all aware, today marks the birthdays of 2 of the greatest thinkers of the post-Enlightenment period: Charles Darwin, the father of evolution, and Abraham Lincoln, the Great Emancipator. Just wanted to remind everyone to thank their lucky stars that history produced 2 such extraordinary men.
The highest possible stage in moral culture is when we recognize that we ought to control our thoughts.

Move to the cooler.
Wait, why? Not trying to rustle any jimmies, but prayer requests and birth announcements stay on the RT all the time...
Because 99% of the time you "victims" cry because something religious isn't moved to the cooler.
And there it is, the religious debate. I just wanted a thread where we could unite and show appreciation for two forward-thinkers who helped progress scientific, political, and moral thought well beyond their day and age. No need to interject venom into it, rollmonkey.

Do you ever add anything good to topics, or is it always sarcastic posts?

The Law of Entropy (in the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics) contradicts the *theory* of Evolution, as everything moves towards disorder and useful energy in the universe cannot come into existence from nothing, by any natural process. Therefore, there has to be a beginning, and a Creator.
Evolutionism is no less a religion than Creationism, as each must be accepted on faith, since no one in Science (or on earth, for that matter) has lived long enough to witness genetic evolution actually occur.
This ^ Exactly.

If you can't formulate an argument, in your own words, then you concede defeat.
Not the point of this thread, but do people truly believe that evolution proponents rely on faith as much as creationists? I'm not making a claim either way, but only one theory is supported by verifiable scientific evidence. Microevolution has been observed. Macroevolution has not. Not because it's not true, but because the scope of time needed to observe it is out of our reach right now. But the fundamental science is the same for micro and macro evolution. Look up the Equidae family.
Why? He is a young earth creationist. All I need to know right there.
Funny comment. Again you are wrong. And you are also using someone else's work.
I have never seen a birthday thread stay on the RT unless it was Sabans or Bryant. This does need to be moved. I'm agnostic so its not even a religious thing its the fact that it doesn't belong here.
Part of being intelligent is also viewing the opposing sides argument. To totally discount that man because he disagrees is foolish.
