Can anyone recommend a steak/seafood restaurant for Saturday night and a brunch restaurant for Sunday for me and my 14 year old? We're staying at the Eden Roc (South Beach/Mid Beach), next door to the Fountainbleau.
for steaks I've seen
1. 1500 degrees (located in the Eden Roc)
2. the Meat Market (Lincoln Road)
3. BLT Steak
4. Gotham Steakhouse (located in the Fountainebleau)
any advice is appreciated.
Prime 112 is the best in that area.

I'm a regular in south beach and this is your answer.
Prime 112 is beyond great. Probably will be tough to get in if you do not already have reservations. If they are booked walk across the street and try Prime Italian -- same steaks menu (almost).
Gotham isn't bad. Not a great steakhouse, but not bad.
If you go to Joe's Stonecrab -- and you should because its great and iconic -- trust me an order the Fried Chicken as a snack. Amazing!

Excellent seafood here you can thank me later.
My buddy is friends with the head chef at The Forge and it was insane good. Really rich food, but great Miami/SB experience.
If you go to Joes' slip the matradee a $20 and he will seat you quickly -- if there's a long line.
Muchas gracias everyone. Thanks for the quick suggestions.
I have resevrations at Prime 112 saturday night.
We will probably try the CrabShack Sunday afternoon with a palmed $20 bill. Heat game Sunday night!

Prime Italian and Prime 112 have the same owner. Hint, hint - can't miss.
Hard to imagine a trip to Miami Beach and not go to Joe's. I'll be there Sunday night. rtr
My wife and I were in Miami this past December. We stayed at the Epic Hotel on Biscayne Blvd. Sweet hotel! I asked the concierge about Joe's Crab. He suggested Truluck's instead. It was walking distance from the hotel. This place was AMAZING. Great stone crab and Alaskan King Crab, huge wine list, and live music. They hooked us up with a VIP table and the service was impeccable. Truluck's is on Brickell Avenue. Ask for Joseph Nguyen, the manager and sommelier, to get you a table. Our server was Lasker Palma. I was so impressed with this place I hung onto their business cards because we will definitely return there in March. www.Trulucks.com.
Hilarious. Nothing out of a truck as well
