I'm attempting to book my honeymoon (March 3-10) & wanted to see if anyone might have any recommendations/advice on where to go this time of year. There's really only two things we're set on... 1) Caribbean/Mexico 2)All-Inclusive.
Thanks in advance!
There is still no sign of Duron Carter.
Just go on a Caribbean cruise dude.....it is soooo fun!
Roll Tide to Her
Something like that varies tremendously depending on your budget. Cruises are kinda crazy with the cost of booze, and you don't get to do much with the time you have at port.
Also, do you plan on only hanging in the room or by the pool, or do you want to experience the culture, scuba, snorkel, etc? Lots of options depending on what you want.
Dude, all inclusive, my wife and I went here and couldn't give it better review, perfect honeymoon.
Book the Excellence Riviera Cancun Luxury Adults Only All Inclusive from \$800.00 - Secluded from the crowds but only 25 minutes from the action of both Cancún and Playa del Carmen, this all-adult resort lies along 300 meters (328 yards) of white-sand beach on the Riviera Maya.
Look into Sandals in St. Lucia. Its a very long flight and close to the equator so take your sunblock but an awesome week. Its all inclusive and a very nice resort with like 7 different restraunts to eat at at night. You can see it all at their website and all that they offer. If you do wind up there look for a guy in a white golf shirt on the beach. His name is Simon and he runs Simon Says Tours, snorkel in the bluest water I have ever seen, see the town, go under a volcano heated waterfall, see an active volcano and eat a traditional island lunch at his house.
Cheapcaribbean.com has awesome rates including flights to Mexico all inclusives
Never Gets Old
Take a good look at the Iberostar all inclusive resorts. They are in Mexico, Jamaica, etc...
Negril, Jamaica at the Grand Lido-- top top resort-- can even hook you up with a personal cab driver that us and our friends use when when go. Its all inclusive.
On another note, a honeymoon advice thread could get ugly. haha!
At the resort.... never _________ in public! Ill let everyone else fill in the blank!
We did Sandals resort in Negril Jamaica and it was perfect. Great resort and food/ drinks were well worth the all inclusive
Excellence is a good resort. Went to Excellence Playa Mujeres and had a blast. The best resort I have been to in Mexico was Secrets Maroma Beach. Iberostar Grand in Dominican Republic is nice, Whitehouse in Jamaica is really nice too, we had a beach walkout.
Resort all inclusives are the way to go. When i was on my honeymoon, all I wanted was to lay by the pool or on the beach and have margaritas and other drinks brought to me all day.

I'm not a fan of Sandals, too commercialized. Take a look at the Melia resorts. They are very nice. I stayed at the Melia resorts in the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica and they were amazing. You can always talk to a travel agent for some good deals. They don't cost and they can save you some money or get you some good upgrades. It's worth talking to them at least because you can see what they come up with and if you don't like it, you don't have to use it. If you do go with Melia, I highly suggest you upgrade to Royal Service. It's definitely worth it.
The Westin in Cabo San Lucas is unreal. Very hard to beat Cabo.
Yea what he said...my wife and I did the exact same thing for our honeymoon. We stayed at the Grande. We loved it! Simon was great! He took us in to his own house and his wife cooked us a feast for lunch. At the time she was like 32 weeks pregnant, haha!
I went to Mexico for ours and it was great. Flight to Mexico pretty short too. With that said its not a good time to go to Mexico. Lots of crime going on there now.
Sandals Grande st Lucia was amazing. The best of the 3 resorts they have on st. Lucia, but you can eat or hang out at the others if you like. Seems the Grande has all honeymooners so its a good time. If you have any questions just pm me.

Sandals - White House
It's a little more friendly on your wallet than Antigua and some of those places, but its the best Sandals resort in Jamaica by far.
Depending on your budget, fly to St. Thomas for a charter yacht, it doesn't have to be big 30 to 40 ft. It can be sail or motor, price will normally include food and all drinks. My older brother had a 65 ft motoryacht that he would charter out for short trips like honeymoons or vacations, most relaxing time I ever had when I went to see him for a week.
I completely agree with Matt Jr . Check out the paradisus resorts in punta cana, we liked it so much we are getting married there in may.
Paradisus Resorts is a leader in luxury all-inclusive vacations and are located in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Paradisus Punta Cana luxury all-inclusive resort in Playa de Bavaro, Higuey, Dominican Republic offers endless activities, full service spa, casino and more for families and couples.
Carolines. Takes a while to get there but absolutely gorgeous! If you scuba dive, hard to beat these islands of Palau.
Caneel Bay. St. John.
Thank me later. It's expensive, but you'll remember it forever...and it's all inclusive if you choose that "plan"...
1960 Les Paul
Couples Negril, Jamaica. Completely All Inclusive.......the best time of my life. My wife and I go back every two years. Plus, the entertainment and local activities are insane......personally enjoyed the strongest drinks of my life. Nothing is watered down.
Wow! Thanks for all of the responses! We keep going back & forth on locations, but definitely want to go the all-inclusive route to make things easier. We want a place that gives us plenty of options of activities, but also the option of being able to spend time to ourselves...
should be lots of tips on a honeymoon
