To get Lasik today at 1... Any advice? Will I really be asleep during the Falcons Saints game tonight?
Roll Tide Roll
Vince Lombardi was asked how it felt to have the best football team in the world. He replied, I don't know. We haven't played Alabama yet.
I hope everything goes well for you. I'm considering the procedure sometime in the next 3-5yrs as I'm really getting tired of contacts and glasses.
My main problem is astigmatism and I've heard it generally is a good outcome for that type of correction. I hope you post back in the near future with your results.
Again, good luck, & I hope your eyesight is crystal clear to watch Bama beatdown the Dawgs come Saturday!!!
Thank you. And absolutely, I'll let you know how it goes. Pretty excited to ditch the contacts...
Had it done in April for my astigmatism. I was able to see better immediately upon walking out of the OR. Do it ... and don't wait!
Got it in 2005......so it's been awhile and my memory is cloudy but I think you'll be fine by tonight. It was pretty quick and done while awake.
You get out of it what you put into it!
I'm wanting to get this done as well. The question is... how much for the procedure nowadays?
traditional around $1500
or if your pupils are big like mine $3500
Hope the lasik goes well and you can ditch the contacts and glasses forever.

Awesome buddy. Good luck.

Dang. You guys are killing me. I was thinking about having mine done today, but I've had difficulty coming up with the money for it right now. I can get a payment plan. But I have zero debt, and I intend on never having any debt aside from a mortgage loan.
What did you guys pay for yours? And where did you have it done?
I got mine done 12 years ago and still perfect - This was my experience: i had the surgery at about 6pm. Right after I could tell my focus was better but my vision was blurry/hazy because of the chemicals they put in your eyes. I went home took the pill (never had any pain) went to sleep around 830pm woke up at midnight with perfect vision. Been that way ever since though I do use "readers" now:) As others have said you do have some halo effect but i don't notice it now at all.
Bump for more input from others who have had this done. Especially regarding price from those who have had this recently done.
