I have several of the games from this year on my DVR. I just hooked my laptop up using a HDMI cable and I can not find the drive in the DVR on my computer. Looking under the Computer tab.
Is there a trick to this?? I should be able to see the drive in the DVR from my computer right??
Unless I'm mistaken I think you are hooking up two outputs.
The DVR HDMI outputs to TV devices, while your computer outputs to TV or similiar devices.
If you dreamed you were a sleep and you woke up, would you be awake?
Your laptop and DVR must be networked together to play the DVR on your laptop. There is a program you need to download from DTV called DirecTV2PC.
Thank you both
something you can do is to add an external harddrive to your DVR. I did this about two years ago and have all the Bama games from the last 4 years on it. It's easier to connect that drive to a PC/Mac and I can access or copy them to computer for burning that way. I use dish network and they make you pay a one-time fee of about 40$ to use an external drive. worth it to me. hope this helps.
