Direct TV or Dish?

Almost got direct tv this week but I could not get a signal for the trees in my yard. I have cable tv now and have been told to not get direct but get dish. Any body got direct? anybody had both ? Is it worth me cutting down 2 big pine trees to get one of them? This may get moved to the water cooler but hopefully I can get some input before it does. RTR

gotta go direct , best for sports( sunday ticket free ) and HD Quality it by far superior!

I have had Dish for five years and have really liked it. Like all satellites, only complaint is losing signal in a steady rain. I must say though that this time of year always makes me consider switching to DirecTV just for the NFL package.

Have had Direct for 4 years now and can't see myself giving it up for anything else. It has been awesome. Sunday ticket rocks.

Thanks, My daughter says it has to be Direct to watch walking dead. Dish does not get that channel.

I have had both and personally prefer DISH. Lower bill, better customer service. Directv lied to me and I caught them. We were not getting our local channels in HD and had just bought an HD tv so I called and asked them why. They said our local channels were not broadcasting in HD. I checked and turns out they WERE being broadcast in HD. So I call Directv back and they said that they (Directv) were not offering them in HD even though we were paying for HD. Then, they tried to make me feel guilty for asking by telling me that some people didn't have anything in HD and that they were trying to get to them first. I called DISH and our bill was cut almost in half and they DID offer our locals in HD. I have not regretted the switch! Our Alabama games are in HD now when they play on CBS!

Neither, had Direct,Time Warner, Cox Cable, get UVerse, superior to ALL.
