Wanting to buy the hubs a grill and I'm no expert. Anyone have any advice between the Green Egg and the Kamodo Joe that they advertise on JOX? Would have put this on the water cooler, but didn't think it would be seen. Mods please move if needed. TIA.
Can’t go wrong with either of the two. I have a Green Egg and Love it, but I know a lot of people with a Kamodo and you really can’t tell a difference. (Except for color)
Absolutely love my Big Green Egg. No experience with the Kamodo, so I can't really compare the two, but you can't go wrong with a BGE.
If you get the Kamodo everyone is going to ask why did you painted your Green Egg... So just get the BGE!

is the best benefit of the green egg its efficiency?
Big Oval xl by Primo Grills is outstanding, and made in America( Georgia I believe) primogrills.com RTR!
Kamado Joe, Grill Dome, and Primo are all BGE copycats. More than one of those companies were started by BGE employees. They're all good grills/smokers, but BGE has been around the longest and has a rock solid reputation.

I have owned a BGE, Primo, & Kamado Joe. The Primo XL is the most versatile. If you are looking between a KJ, Primo kamado, or large egg, the differences are the stainless steel grate & tools that come with the kamado joe, & powdercoated top vent. The kamado joe has a better gasket than primo & what use to come on the BGE(I think they recently updated their gasket). In a perfect world I would have a Primo XL with stainless grid, powder coated top vent, & KJ gasket. Cant go wrong with either. Ceramic grills are the best.
Are there deals to be had on eggs online? Or do you pretty much just pay the same anywhere?
I'm sure it would be 9 million dollars to ship
I live in bham and ordered mine from a place in Pensacola where I'm from called Escambia Electric. It was only $600ish. The freight was much cheaper than the taxes would've been. As long as they're shipping across state lines you don't hae to pay sales tax.
