Suspect was being booked and stabbed and killed a police officer. Stole a police car and led a big chase. Supposedly another officer was shot by the suspect. Suspect holed up in a house and was shot. It is believed he was killed.

Thanks for posting and thank you for your thoughtfulness! I too am a police officer and will have my fellow brothers and their families in my prayers.

  • They just showed the clip again from when they were transporting him and it looked like he folded up the pendant and slip something between his fingers. Skinny guy so he was able to reach his low hanging necklace with his hands still handcuffed behind his back. The deceased officer is seen walking him to the car. Disgusting individual.

Well thanks for your service...I have always had a special place for law enforcement, military, and firemen. You guys go to work everyday and put yourselves in harm's way and it's just your job. I know it's overlooked all the time but times like this bring it full circle. Thank you and to all others who serve daily!!

  • I was actually down at bc rain working with some kids. This all happened with 100 yards of my kids. Heard someone empty a clip. Then heard sirens from everywhere and finally the chopper. After a couple mins we were told to leave by the cops. Crazy day.

  • Actually the pendant was hiding a box cutter type razor blade, it can be seen when rewatching the news clip of him being escorted to the car, I spoke with my brother who is a Mobile Co Sheriffs deputy and he was telling me that they pat them down and then effects such as necklaces are taken away when they are booked, I work as a Firemedic for MFRD, I was off duty today but I was shocked when i heard of this as we work so closely with MPD and I have several very close friends on MPD, I did not know the officer involved personally but the thoughts and prayers of my family go out to his and to all others who are involved in this line of work...

Just last night I was talking to a friend of mine (who's in law enforcement) about too many officers dying for lack of "pulling the trigger". This situation is a little different but you guys get the gist.

And part of the problem is a lot of officers are afraid of losing their jobs. A lot of society today says it's always the cops fault. I say shoot em and let the Good Lord sort em out. Like it told him last night, you can't raise kids and help other people trying to save someone who's frankly not worth saving and has so little disregard for your life he/she willing to take it.

If any of you disagree, just google "Officer Kyle Dinkheller traffic stop". Watch this young cop get shot by an idiot on a routine traffic stop. You can hear him take his last breath. His wife was pregnant with a daughter who will never get to see her father. That changed my mind about a lot of things.

Again, shoot em all, and let the Good Lord sort em out.

It's a thin line both ways though man..

I understand your anger.....I have seen the video along with many others while participating in training. I want to say though, I find myself being more angry at myself and fellow officers while I watch because of the complacency. Complacency will get you killed in this line of work faster than anything else. It's deadly and unfortunately it happens often. Events such as this serve as a reminder to myself and others that at any given time your life can be taken by someone without regard for even their own life. Rather than channel my anger toward the guilty, I use it as an advantage so that I can ensure I go home to my wife and son every night. My prayers go out to the fallen officers family. In the line of duty this year alone there have been nearly 130 incidents with officers injured and I believe the number is now 7 deaths. We just entered February...think about that.

I added a link that I hope some will take time to look at. They update it every day, unfortunately the numbers grow.

  • Wallace was inside the Sally port when he attacked Green and stole his patrol car. He apparently rammed the door of the Sally port on his way out and led a chase to the DIP area and hid under a house. *just filling in the story for those that are curious

    I will.

My Grandfather was in law enforcement for over 35 years, and was the DA Investigator when he died.

Just in the last ten years our society has changed unbelievably when it comes to disrespecting authority and disregard for human life.

That's why I say in this day and time, if someone is fool enough to pull a weapon, shoot em. To me, if it's a regular person these idiots are pulling a gun on, well, they may not use it..but if if they have the stones to pull one on a cop, you damn well better bet they plan on it.

I'm really sorry your cousing died serving his community. The little league thing hits me hard, because he obviously cared a lot about kids. We need more of these people.

I hope that SOB suffered before he died, but I have a feeling he got off easy...

  • Prayers go out to his family. My brother is the sheriff's deputy that was shot in Huntsville a couple months ago. He was fortunate in that the sob pumped15 rounds from a AK 47 into his cruiser. No direct hits except from sharpnel (sp)?, to face and neck. God was definitely with him.

  • If you are able to watch the news video where the murderer is talking it will make your blood boil with anger. Truly sad.
