Lola-The Kinks-Original Lyrix: I met her in a club down in old Soho Where you drink champagne and it tastes like cherry cola c.o.l.a. cola She walked up to me and she asked me to dance I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said Lola L.o.l.a. Lola La La La La Lola Verse 2: Well, I'm not the world's most physical guy, But when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine oh my Lola, la-la la-la Lola Well, I'm not dumb, but I can't understand Why she walked like a woman and talked like a man oh my Lola, la-la la-la Lola La-la la-la Lola Well we drank champagne and danced all night under electric candlelight She picked me up and sat me on her knees said little boy, won't you come home with me ? Verse 4: That's the way, that I want it to stay And I always wanted it to be that way for my Lola la-la la-la Lola, Girls will be boys and boys will be girls, It's a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world except for Lola la-la la-la Lola Well, I left home just a week before and I'd never ever kissed a woman before But Lola smiled and took me by the hand Said good boy gonna make you a man !" Verse 5: Well, I'm not the world's most muscular man, But I know what I am I'm glad I'm a man and so is Lola la-la la-la Lola, Lola, la-la la-la Lo-la, la-la la-la Lo-la, Lola, la-la la-la Lo-la, (repeat and fade )

    Time - Pink Floyd

This is as old upload. Click for a much higher quality video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUt7qmSvxLI This is Time (The Dark Side of the Moon, 1973), from Pink Floyd, live at P.U.L.S.E; recorded at Earls Court, London, in 1994. Roger Waters, one of the the composers of Time, is not in this show. Current members of Pink Floyd are: David Gilmour (guitars, lead vocals) • Richard Wright(keyboards, secondary vocals, backing vocals) • Nick Mason(drums, percussion); Lyrics: Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town Waiting for someone or something to show you the way Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today And then one day you find ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking And racing around to come up behind you again The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older Shorter of breath and one day closer to death Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way The time has gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say Home, home again I like to be here when I can When I come home cold and tired It's good to warm my bones beside the fire Far away across the field The tolling of the iron bell Calls the faithful to their knees To hear the softly spoken magic spells. _______________________ Ripped, edited, and encoded by me. I did my best to maintain the quality, but for some reason there is a problem of sync, with some audio lag. Please enjoy the wonderful music. http://www.pinkfloyd.co.uk/

    Janis Joplin-Me and Bobby McGee

Janis Joplin Me and Bobby McGee Busted flat in baton rouge, waiting for a train And i's feelin' nearly as faded as my jeans. Bobby thumbed a diesel down just before it rained, It rode us all the way in to new orleans. I pulled my harpoon out of my dirty red bandanna, An' i's playin' soft while bobby sang the blues, yeah. Windshield wipers slapping time, i was holding bobby's hand in mine, We sang every song that driver knew. Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose, Nothing don't mean nothing honey if it ain't free. Yeah, an' feeling good was easy, lord, bobby sang the blues, You know feeling good was good enough for me, hmm mm, Good enough for me and my bobby mcgee. From the kentucky coal mines to the california sun, Bobby shared the secrets of my soul. Through all kinds of weather, through everything that we done, Said bobby baby, he kept me from the cold. One day up near salinas, lord, i let him slip away, But he was lookin' for that home and i hope he finds it. But i'd trade all of my tomorrows for one single yesterday To be holdin' bobby's body next to mine. Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose, Nothing, that's all that bobby left me, yeah. Feelin' good was easy, lord, bobby he sang the blues, I said feeling good was good enough for me, hmm mm, It's good enough for me and my bobby mcgee. La la la, la la la la, la la la, la la la la La la la la la bobby mcgee. La la la la la, la la la la la La la la la la la, bobby mcgee. La la la, la la la la la la, La la la, la la la la la la, Na na na na na na na na, bobby mcgee, yeah. Na na na na na na na na, na na na na, Na na na na na na na na, na na na na, Hey now bobby lord, bobby mcgee, yeah. Hell, i'm calling my lover, calling my man, I said i'm calling my lover, i do the best i can, I said now c'mon, bobby now, come on bobby mcgee, yeah. Lordy, lordy, lordy, lordy, lordy, lordy, lordy lord Hey, hey, hey, bobby mcgee, yeah!

Wagner - RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES - Furtwangler

The Ride of the Valkyries, by Richard Wagner, in a classic recording with Wilhelm Furtwangler and the Vienna Philharmonic. Illustrations are by Arthur Rackham. "One golden summer in adolescence...I heard the 'Ride of the Valkyries' on a gramophone and saw Arthur Rackham's illustrations to The Ring." (C.S.Lewis) The music: probably the most famous and instantly identifiable of Wagner's works is this short orchestral prelude from Die Walkure, the second opera in the monumental Der Ring des Nibelungen. It has gone on to enter popular culture, being used in many films, most notably the helicopter attack sequence in Apocalypse Now. In terms of composition it perfectly demonstrates Wagner's epic sense of drama, and also his masterful orchestration. The conductor: Wilhelm Furtwangler is probably unrivalled as an interpreter of the core Austro-German Romantic repertoire, setting benchmarks in the performance of Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Wagner, Bruckner and others. His recordings include two complete Ring Cycles, both of them classics. The illustrations: Arthur Rackham was one of the greatest illustrators at the turn of the 19th century, creating classic visions for fairy tales and fantasies (Alice, Peter Pan, etc.). His work on Der Ring des Nibelungen is often considered one of the finest visual depictions of Wagner's epic. Sound: sorry the quality isn't first class - the recording is nearly sixty years old! (Imagine what Furtwangler could do with digital surround sound...) Hope you enjoy, and please get in touch if you have any comments or suggestions. If you want to hear more, do subscribe...
