  • My Parent's and I had one when I was about 14, excellent dog! He was a extremely loyal, intelligent, and hilarious. Super athletic as well. I'll definitely have another one as soon as me and my girlfriend get married and move in together to a place with a yard/fence.

The only downside to a Dogo is that because of their superior intelligence, if you leave them alone for long periods of time, they will chew up everything in sight to get attention. This only happened to us twice, and we learned our lesson. The first time, we left him in the garage for the most part of the day and he chewed up a ton of stuff in there. The second time, he was left outside around the porch for most of the day and he ended up chewing half of the wooden rails because he was bored. If you have a large yard though, he should be more than fine.

  • Dude, just go to the shelters. You'll find LOTS of dogs that look similar that need a great home. Don't encourage the breeders to add more to the population that we don't need.

Was it really needed for you to add something to just to push your opinion or view ? I've done both, my mastiff/chow was adopted, my current German Shepard I bought from a breeder. Don't try and push your opinion, that is not what this thread was about. I'm getting one regardless of what article you put lol

  • If they are anything like my Dogue de Bordouex (French Mastiff), I would get it. My female is wonderful!! We have a 8 & 5 yr old daughter and she is great with them.
