Ronald Reagan: Man is not free unless government is limited.
I like it. No need to spend hard earned tax dollars on illegal drugs.
You can always find an argument with everything. It is not the governments job to solve every problem for every individual. I think the vast majority will agree that drug testing is the right thing to do. If I have to take a drug screen to get a job to pay the taxes that allow them to sit their sorry a** at home then they should have to take one to receive welfare. If they don't like it they can move to Mexico. If people are to sorry to give up drug use in order to feed their children they have problems far greater than a simple drug test. This country has severe problems that all originate with a lack of responsibility not being enforced upon individuals. People are taught that if you don't have something somebody else(government or charity) will provide them for you. That is why you see people with designer clothes, smart phones and tattoos covering their body who are on welfare. It pisses me off.
I'm curious about all the people that think this is a good idea. How important is this issue to you? There are a lot of politicians that are vehemently against this bill.
Let's say you sort of liked a politician. He's your state representative or whatever. You aren't friends with him but you think he does, on balance, a pretty good job.
This bill is passed in Alabama, but your state representative is against it. Do you vote against him?
For the record, I think the bill is a good idea.
