Disney has done a great job with the avengers since buying marvel so there is a lot of promise.

Excited, but I am cautiously optimistic. I am sure it will be good.

Right there with ya. The franchise is special to me as well. I even like the prequels with a few exceptions (Jar Jar Binks, miticlorians, ect.). I do think Lucas has made the franchise his own personal play thing. The fans revere it much more than him. He's made some goofy choices over the last couple decades. It needed a new voice. Here's hoping Disney gives it the respect it deserves.

Disney has historically had mediocre sequels, but I think they realize that anything that doesn't do justice to the franchise will turn the diehard fans off and cost them a lot of revenue in the future, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

I was very disappointed with the last three made. The whole story was how Darth Vader came to be and when he finally finished up, he failed to show how badass DV really was. I mean nothing to satisfy. I felt like I had eaten a empty taco shell. Shoot, with the exception of the short saber fight, he did not really let Yoda loose. Just disappointing all the way around. Hope Disney kicks ass with it.

I thought the look of Episodes I-III was outstanding. It was just the acting that sucked. Wooden. The guy that played Anakin in Episodes II & III was AWFUL. At least Lucas gave us Natalie Portman in a halter top to look at.

With Disney behind it, I'm cautiously optimistic, as some other posters. I hope that Disney doesn't "kidify" it too much. I'll hazard a guess that the inevitable Star Wars wing they add to one of their theme parks will be outstanding. Sort of a Star Wars Mecca.
