The Water Cooler

Ours died late last Fall. We toughed it out until early May (ceiling fans,etc.), then had it replaced in mid-May or so. Boy, do I have a new appreciation for the AC.

I have Ruud units, split system, installed in 93 that are leaking freon. I have been told they have to both be replaced. I have a 2 story on top of a finished basement. 1 unit serves 400 sf in basement and 1,000 sf 1st floor and the other unit serves 1,000 2nd floor. Any ideas on most economical/ cost effective way to go would be appreciated.
Currently have gas heat. Not married to it.

Carrier and all products associated in the ICP group, that stands for International comfort products. This company makes the best equipment for the money you will spend, carrier, comfortmaker, bryant payne, and grandaire are the lines associated with ICP, trane is good yes but much more costly to repair due to the fact that trane makes its own equipment for all its units, my company is an authorized dealer of comfortmaker equipment and this equipment holds its value my customer base loves this unit line. Just a little fyi
