Slingbox - Got one for Christmas!

This device is awesome! Watch TV on any of your devices, Iphone, Ipad, PC, Android Phones etc...
Hook up to you home TV,cable box, DVR, etc.
Wanted to share with my BOL freinds for those that don't know about Slingbox.
Great way to watch sports games on the go. The video playback quality is great on my iphone and iPad.
I have it hooked up to my TIVO and able to control and watch saved games and shows.
Also able to watch my home TV from my PC in the office...
No Monthly fees, you buy the slingbox device (i have the Slingbox pro HD) hook it up and start streaming/watching.
Note: I have a cable modem for home internet and have about 4MB upload and about 40MB download on average.

Got one too but have yet to hook it up. I have the pro HD but need to upgrade my Internet to have HD come through. As of now upload is only about 1 MB. Is the HD quality good enough and worth the extra coin? I was thinking about exchanging it for the solo-- non HD

Not sure how your HD looks now with the 1MB upload but it is great quality with my upload speed. Note: I also have a Verizon Mifi card with 4G when not on Wifi.
NOTE: with my 4mb upload speeds on home internet I am burning about 900MB an hour for download on my mobile devices. So be careful on how you watch shows. if you have a limited data plan on you cellphone, this will eat you data plan fast. Best to watch over a wifi connection.
The pro HD is nice because it gives you multiple inputs.
I have my HD Tivo hooked up as well as a regular basic cable running thru.
I am watching the Basic Cable setup when the TIVO DVR has two shows recording at once and I don't want to stop one of the shows.
Also going to hookup and extra external Hard drive that has 100's of shows I have recorded, including old Bama games.

I've been researching this (vulkano blast). I've read alot of hidden charges, poor customer service, and that the warranty is a must due to cheap parts (slingbox). If anyone uses what I linked fill me in please. Moving to Japan in Feb

I got apple tv and love it too. Can play anything off the net or from my computer (wireless). Love it.
